Men are nailing it this season – Men Manicure Pedicure Trends
Men are paying more attention to self-care. From plucking and shaping their eyebrows to trimming and waxing their beard. Now they have elevated their grooming habits – the manicure and pedicure.
Hollywood male celebrities like Post Malone, Pete Davidson and Bad Bunny are spearheading the trend. Established fashion brands like Chanel are riding on the new wave by expanding their men’s cosmetic series – Boy De Chanel. They have created two shades of nail polish for men: black and nude.
Gone are the days where nail polish is only marketed to female audience. Women have been wearing nail polish exclusively for many decades and men are coming in to change this. Manicure and pedicure are low maintenance activities and brings calmness and relaxation after the session.
Men nail art has taken over tattoos and piercings. Michelle from Move Manicure says “Nail art can be easily changed or removed according to your mood. It can also be easily incorporated into your basic self-care routine.”
The recent Circuit-Breaker has given men the chance to play and explore with fashion trends that they have neglected in the past due to their hectic work schedule. Some tried nail polish out of boredom, and some painted their nails for the very first time.
COVID-19 have changed the daily habits of many people. The importance of hand hygiene and grooming is just as important for men. The use of hand sanitizers has caused some men to experience dry hands due to the alcohol content in the hand sanitizers. Regular manicure and pedicure sessions not only keeps your nails groomed and buff, but also keeps your nails clean and healthy.
