What is included in a classic pedicure?

Our classic pedicure is a toenail service where our pedicurist will clip,shape and buff your toenails.  This also includes trimming off cuticles and a foot scrub. 

A layer of base coat is applied, followed by 2 coats of your favorite nail polish colour and finished with a top coat. 

Unless you opt for classic gel pedicure, you will have to wait for the toe polish to completely dry before you leave the nail salon to prevent any smudging of the nail polish.

Classic pedicure vs gel pedicure

A classic pedicure steps are similar to that of a normal classic pedicure.  The only difference is that non toxic nail polish is applied instead.  When performing classic gel pedicure, the pedicurist will apply a layer of gel base coat to protect your toe nails.

She will then place your nails under the LED/UV lamp to dry the base coat, followed by 2 applications of your choice of gel colour.  

Lastly, the pedicurist will apply a layer of gel top coat to protect the gel colour.  As gel colour is cured under LED?UV lamp, the gel colours tend to last longer than normal polish colour.

Typically, a good gel colour can easily last between 10 days to 14 days without losing it' shine and luster.

A classic pedicure, on the other hand, typically uses normal nail polish.  At Move Manicure, we use OPI nail polish for classic pedicure sessions.  Normal nail polish do not require UV/LED lamp.  Normal polish can be air dry, and this also means it requires longer dry time.

We advise most clients to avoid wearing shoes on the same day when they choose normal nail polish application.  This is because the top surface of the nail polish may appear to look dry, but sometimes, the under layers may not be dry completely.  If you wear shoes, it may cause the nail polish to collapse, resulting in streaks on the nail polish which does not look beautiful.

How much is a classic gel pedicure vs classic pedicure price?

Our classic gel pedicure starts from $90 for a 60 minutes session.  Classic pedicure price starts from $80 for a 60 minutes session.  Both of these options includes the thermal foot soak, moisturizing foot massage and a cuticle treatment.  Add on $25 for a classic spa pedicure, where you get to enjoy organic mud spa imported from the U.S.A.
