What are chrome nail designs?

Apply a base coat and your choice of gel color.  Top with gel color with a no-wipe top coat.  For beginners, it is always easier to start with a black or gold gel nail polish as the base color.

  1. Use a sponge applicator to dip the color pigments
  2. Rub it onto the nails and make sure it is evenly coated 
  3. Always apply a thin layer as a little goes a long way.  You do not want to end up with a thick and uneven color 
  4. Rub the color until you see a reflective mirror effect
  5. Repeat the process for all your fingers
  6. Apply a no-wipe top coat and apply to all your fingers
  7. Cure the top coat under the UV/LED lamp for at least 2 minutes
  8. Use a buffing brush to remove all the excess powder pigments
  9. Apply cuticle oil and you are done!

How long do chrome nail designs last?

Chrome gel nail designs are lasting and can easily last for about 2 to 3 weeks.  Of course, you need to take good care of your nails.  If you are doing a lot of washing and manual work, then the shine on the chrome nail designs will not last.

How are chrome nail designs removed?

  1. Buff off the top coat and shine of the chrome nail designs
  2. Soak a piece of cotton pad with acetone and place the cotton pad on top of your nails
  3. Use a piece of foil and wrap it around your finger nail to keep the cotton pad in place.
  4. Leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes for the acetone to work it's way around the chrome nail polish
  5. Remove the aluminium foil and cotton pad.  Use a cuticle remover to scrape of any gel residue.
  6. Buff your nails and apply nail strengthener.
  7. Apply cuticle oil to your nourish your cuticles 
  8. Splash on a layer of moisturizer to keep your hands moisturized and smooth.

How much do chrome nail designs cost?

Most women do not try chrome nail designs as the perceived value of such nail art designs are costly.  The truth is you only need to top up an additional $20 to $30 for the entire set of nails to be painted in chrome colors.
